Long July 4th weekend!

Our weekend started July 3rd and we decided to just go into it with no plans!

After work we went swimming at my parent’s for a little bit and then decided to go to a party hosted by some of my extended family.

It was great seeing so much extended family and just being part of such a big event.

We went exploring in their yard. The boys love being outside.

They do fireworks too but we had to leave before those started to get the boys to bed. However, they shoot off the army men/parachutes and Liam was able to get one. He was so excited.

Happy 4th of July! We had a lazy morning getting up. Then we went for a family run. We played outside all morning too. It was sunny and beautiful!

We took our annual family 4th of July picture.

Then we were off to the pool with our friends Tyler and Chelby and their kiddos. So fun watching the kids swim and play together.

We had dinner, spent more time talking and hanging out, and then called it a night.

We decided to go to Willow River State Park. We invited my parents to come and we went and saw the waterfalls.

Liam wanted to the climb the 70 (?) stairs to the lookout to see the waterfall from above so he and I did that. He climbed all the way up by himself, but then I gave him a piggy-back ride on the way down.

We went out to lunch and then headed home for nap time. I went for a walk at nap because I wasn’t feeling great after lunch.

After nap we went swimming at my parent’s house and ate dinner there.

Then it was home for bed time.

The boys woke up and decided to put on rain boots and winter hats. Crazy kids! Of course they had to change before we went outside so they didn’t get too hot.

Then it was outside for play time.

Joe took Liam to run some errands so Owen and I played on the deck for a little while.

Then it was lunch and nap time. After nap we went to my parent’s house for a pool day. The kids had fun playing outside.

Owen and Brynn tried blowing some bubbles. So cute!

Then it was home for bed time.

It was church in the morning (played outside before), home for lunch and nap, and then party time.

We had Rib Fest to celebrate my Grandpa’s 1st birthday in heaven. His birthday is on the 8th but we all got together on the 7th to celebrate.

It was a day filled with love, laughter, tears, and family.

The kids all had fun playing together in the sprinkler, with squirt guns, mud pies, and baseball.

We lit a lantern in honor of my grandpa. It went straight up and then came right back down. It was unreal.

We played a little a more and then it was time to head home for baths and bedtime.

My grandpa’s 82nd birthday would have been on this day. I stayed home a little longer with the boys and then I brought them to daycare.

I went to the gym and then mass with my grandma, mom, aunt, uncle, and brother. It was mass in honor of my grandpa.

Then we went to lunch and after that my mom, my grandma, and I went to get pedicures.

It was a good day.

Hope you are having a great week and enjoying some time outdoors like we are!
