Wisconsin Dells 2019

We had a wonderful time in the Wisconsin Dells visiting my mom’s cousin Sherrie (who is like an aunt to us) and doing lots of really fun things!

We left after work to head to the Dells. We picked up the boys and my mom and hit the road. We ended up on a detour because of an accident on the highway so our ride was a little longer than normal. We stopped at Culver’s for dinner and got to Sherrie’s house around 9:30. Owen slept some of the way, but Liam stayed awake the whole time.

We set up beds and put the boys down. Soon after they finally fell asleep we went to bed too. It was a rough night for Liam so I ended up sleeping in his room with him and Owen.

Liam and Owen were up bright and early to take on the day. We played outside and then had some Dunkin Donuts for breakfast.

We put the boys down for nap and then waiting for my brother Blake and his girlfriend Maddie to arrive. Once they did the boys were up and we were ready to go to Noah’s Ark Waterpark.

We had a lot of fun and it wasn’t too busy. We went back to Sherrie’s for pizza and time outside.

Once the boys were asleep Joe, Blake, Maddie, my cousin Riley and I went downtown for go-karts and laser tag. I was so tired from the early morning but we had a lot of fun.

Liam was up early again. He was just so excited for everything we were doing.

We went mini golfing before nap. It was fun and Liam even got a hole-in-one. He is really good at mini-golf.

Then it was back to Sherrie’s for nap. We ended up having to wake the boys up (seriously the worst when they are actually sleeping). We then went downtown to the Tommy Bartlett Show. They boys were in a trance watching all the tricks.

My cousin Andrew had gotten us all tickets which was so nice.

After the show we went downtown to MACS to get some macaroni and cheese. So good! Then we walked around downtown and went to see the magician on the corner.

Everyone stayed downtown but Joe, the boys, and I went back to Sherrie’s to give the boys baths and put them to bed.

We went to bed early too.

The boys were up early and playing outside by 7:30am. It got warm out early too so we were swimming nice and early as well.

My cousin Riley got us tickets for a Dells Boat Tour so we did that before nap. It was about an hour long and we got to see some of the river. It was cool!

Then it was back to Sherrie’s for nap.

After nap we hung out, did some swimming, played some baseball, and played in the sand.

We had pizza for dinner and we all going to go mini-golfing however Liam was not behaving and ended up getting that taken away. So everyone went except me, Liam, Owen, and Sherrie. Liam was so sad, but he needed to stay home. It was actually good for both boys to get in bed at a decent time.

After the others returned Joe and I went back out with Blake and Maddie. We went downtown to get some t-shirts for me, go on go-karts again, and then laser tag again too. We also went to a bar to play bags for a little while. Riley joined us after a little while.

We walked around town a little more and then decided to do some old time pictures for my mom. It was so fun and funny.

We got home late and went to bed.

We decided if Liam behaved and was a good helper that we would go mini-golfing on our way out of town. We got all packed up and overall he was really good. So as we headed out we let him know the good news. He was very excited.

He got two more hole-in-ones and did so good. It was hot but we all had fun.

Then we started making our way home. We stopped almost right away to get Subway before the boys fell asleep.

We made it home around 3. We hung out at my parent’s house for a little bit and then had a super chill night at home.

The boys had baths and went to bed early with out a peep. We went to bed early too.

We had so much fun and were able to do so many things. We are always thankful for Sherrie letting us stay with her and to Riley and Andrew for the free tickets!

Two missed weekend posts!

Okay, life got away from me and I missed the past weekend and the weekend before of posts so this will be a quick recap of July 12-14 and July 19-20. I actually worked both weekends which is why life has been crazy!

July 12-14
I headed to Palm Springs, CA on the 10th for work/training so I spent 5 days there working and also soaking up the sun.

Joe was home with the boys. He took them to our town festival, his parent’s house to swim, my parent’s house to swim, and to the zoo with our niece and nephew. They had lots of fun!

July 19-21
I was working all weekend but was able to spend time as a family after work.

There was a big storm that came through on Friday evening. We had no power from around 6-9.

We spent our evenings at home and as much time outside as possible! My dad took Liam golfing on Saturday so we had some one-on-one time with Owen (who just kept asking about Liam haha!). Also I had to document Liam eating salad!

Both weekends I was working but still really great weekends!! Hope your week is going great and you have a great weekend ahead!

Long July 4th weekend!

Our weekend started July 3rd and we decided to just go into it with no plans!

After work we went swimming at my parent’s for a little bit and then decided to go to a party hosted by some of my extended family.

It was great seeing so much extended family and just being part of such a big event.

We went exploring in their yard. The boys love being outside.

They do fireworks too but we had to leave before those started to get the boys to bed. However, they shoot off the army men/parachutes and Liam was able to get one. He was so excited.

Happy 4th of July! We had a lazy morning getting up. Then we went for a family run. We played outside all morning too. It was sunny and beautiful!

We took our annual family 4th of July picture.

Then we were off to the pool with our friends Tyler and Chelby and their kiddos. So fun watching the kids swim and play together.

We had dinner, spent more time talking and hanging out, and then called it a night.

We decided to go to Willow River State Park. We invited my parents to come and we went and saw the waterfalls.

Liam wanted to the climb the 70 (?) stairs to the lookout to see the waterfall from above so he and I did that. He climbed all the way up by himself, but then I gave him a piggy-back ride on the way down.

We went out to lunch and then headed home for nap time. I went for a walk at nap because I wasn’t feeling great after lunch.

After nap we went swimming at my parent’s house and ate dinner there.

Then it was home for bed time.

The boys woke up and decided to put on rain boots and winter hats. Crazy kids! Of course they had to change before we went outside so they didn’t get too hot.

Then it was outside for play time.

Joe took Liam to run some errands so Owen and I played on the deck for a little while.

Then it was lunch and nap time. After nap we went to my parent’s house for a pool day. The kids had fun playing outside.

Owen and Brynn tried blowing some bubbles. So cute!

Then it was home for bed time.

It was church in the morning (played outside before), home for lunch and nap, and then party time.

We had Rib Fest to celebrate my Grandpa’s 1st birthday in heaven. His birthday is on the 8th but we all got together on the 7th to celebrate.

It was a day filled with love, laughter, tears, and family.

The kids all had fun playing together in the sprinkler, with squirt guns, mud pies, and baseball.

We lit a lantern in honor of my grandpa. It went straight up and then came right back down. It was unreal.

We played a little a more and then it was time to head home for baths and bedtime.

My grandpa’s 82nd birthday would have been on this day. I stayed home a little longer with the boys and then I brought them to daycare.

I went to the gym and then mass with my grandma, mom, aunt, uncle, and brother. It was mass in honor of my grandpa.

Then we went to lunch and after that my mom, my grandma, and I went to get pedicures.

It was a good day.

Hope you are having a great week and enjoying some time outdoors like we are!

Pool, Zoo, Love, Family, and Friends!

We had a long weekend since I was off Friday. We spent as much time as possible outside before the rainy and stormy day on Sunday.

After work we went to a pool party at Joe’s parent’s house. Some of his cousins were in town for a wedding reception so it was really fun to see everyone. We also got to meet baby Rhett for the first time.

The boys were so cute snuggling in the morning.

I met a friend of mine at the Minnesota Zoo and it was so fun. Seeing our little ones together makes my heart happy. They are all so cute!

Then it was home for naps and I had to get ready for a wedding reception for Joe’s cousin. We brought the boy’s to my brother and sister-in-laws for a sleepover and then off we went.

The bride and groom were adorable and had a fun first dance.

Joe and I had a lot of fun too.

I got a picture of all the kids taking a bath. They had so much fun!

Then it was home to get some sleep.

Joe and I were both so tired. We picked up the boys, cleaned up the house a little, and then went to my parent’s for a pool day.

It was so hot outside. We just swam all day and the boys loved it. My brother and his family came too.

Then it was home to put some VERY tired boys to bed.

Liam was up around 6:30 but Owen slept until almost 9! We had a lazy morning, and really a lazy day. We watched the storm roll in after lunch. Then put the boys down for nap. During their nap, Joe and I both ended up taking little naps.

After nap we played inside a little and then had dinner.

After dinner we went to visit Tyler, Chelby, and their kids since they are in town from Oregon. We love seeing them!

Then it was home for bed and a lazy rest of the evening for me and Joe.

Hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful July week!
