2nd trimester continued -weeks 20-26

Week 20
Halfway! Woooohooo! It is so crazy how fast time is flying this time around. I am feeling large. My belly button is out all the time and visible under clothing. I have a massive appetite still. I’ve been craving sweeter things lately. Trying to kick that!

My lower back has started to shift a lot. It did the same with Liam. It’s getting loose and will pop in and out of place with no pain.

I am noticing I am uncomfortable sitting in the same position for long periods of time. I shift around a lot.

Joe felt the baby move for the first time. This baby feels really strong and it’s movements are really strong as well. It just happened to be that Joe had his had there and felt it.

Week 21
My belly is still large, and I still have quite the appetite however it seems to be decreasing. My evening meals are becoming more challenging again.

I’ve noticed my workouts becoming more challenging. My calves start to burn more now with the extra weight and extra demands. It isn’t a bad thing, it’s just more noticeable.

I can’t sit still. I’m uncomfortable in most positions and shift constantly.

My face has started breaking out a little more again. I’ve kept up with washing it and it isn’t terrible but I have noticed it.

Week 22-24
I forgot to keep up to date on this….so this is a combo of the weeks.

My appetite is crazy! I could eat all day long but come dinner time I am no longer starving. I at times have eaten 2 lunches because 1 just wasn’t enough. This baby is HUNGRY!!

Still feeling uncomfortable which won’t go away now that I am getting larger. I did have a doctor appt that confirmed I am the “right size” for how far along I am.

My face has cleared up again. It is off and on but it’s doing well again.

I’ve continued exercising. Some days are harder than others to be motivated but I keep doing it and know it will be/is so great for me and baby.

I had some pretty major lower back pain during this couple weeks. I went to the chiropractor twice and that helped a lot. I also got a nice massage. I love keeping up with at least monthly massages and chiropractor visits.

I had two occasions where I was on my feet a lot during the day and that is very noticeable to me now. By the end of the day I am exhausted and my legs are sore.

25 weeks with Liam 24 weeks with Baby 2

Week 25
My tummy has been noticeably getting in the way during simply daily motions this week more than any previous weeks.

Sleep has been very interrupted this week. Some nights I will sleep really good and others I will wake up multiple times through out the night. I’ve also had some trouble falling asleep at night.

I’ve had some pretty serious right shoulder pain this week. I have had this in the past while not pregnant and it has had to do with spine alignment. I am hoping a trip to the chiropractor will help with this.

Exercising has it’s increased challenges and there is a dire need for me to modify at this point in my pregnancy however I am feeling extra motivated to keep moving and keep pushing myself.

This baby is moving a ton, especially when I am sitting still or trying to sleep. It’s moves are very dramatic and strong.

Week 26
Well I am now 2/3 of the way complete with my pregnancy (I consider starting week 27 as the 3rd trimester where others say it’s week 28). It is seriously flying by!

I have been doing good during this week however I got sick again! I got a cold/allergy/respiratory thing going on. It is so hard to be sick while pregnant. Just trying to keep up on my vitamins and rest as much as possible.

I am less hungry this week but I am contributing that to being sick. Once I feel better I am guessing my hunger will pick back up.

My shoulder pain is gone this week! Thank goodness! My back pain has been decent too so that has been nice.

Sleep hasn’t been a major issue this week besides the effects of illness. However I have been going to bed early and have not had to get up to use the bathroom in the night, which is a nice change. Just my cough that has been waking me up.

I have been taking it very easy on exercise this week with being sick. Can’t wait to pick back up again though. I have however noticed I get really hot really fast. This baby is keeping me warm!

Baby has continued moving a ton and it’s movements are visible from the outside. Joe is in shock when he sees my stomach move. Liam refuses to hold his hand on my belly for more than 2 seconds so he has yet to feel the baby move.

I am so happy to be moving into the 3rd trimester. It seriously is one of those “I can’t believe I am only 27 weeks” and “I can’t believe I am already 27 weeks”! 3 months until my due date as of yesterday (6/28 -due 9/28). YAY!!

A cool cabin weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend at the cabin. The weather was cooler but still decent and we enjoyed some outside time when we could.

We packed our things and headed to the cabin around 3:30 when Joe got home from work. It was just us and Joe’s parents for the weekend so we knew it was going to be quiet.

We spent the evening relaxing and letting Liam run around and explore. He did some relaxing too!

We started off with a relaxing morning. Joe and his dad went fishing so Liam, Marley, and I went for a walk. It felt good to get outside and get moving early in the morning.

When we returned the guys were back from fishing and Liam had to share stories from our walk.

It ended up getting pretty sunny out so we spent some time playing outside before lunch. Liam just loves running around outside.

Then it was nap time for Liam. It was starting to get cloudy and gloomy out so Joe curled up on the couch and I decided to watch Moana on Netflix. It was very cute!

After nap we packed up and headed to Hayward to go to the wilderness walk. We thought Liam would enjoy seeing all the animals.

He thought it was pretty funny that a goat chewed on my sweater and the horse sneezed on me. He is such a storyteller.

He had a blast looking at the animals but did not want to go too close to them.

He had some fun playing there as well but was cautious to be away from the animals.

Liam got an adorable souvenir from the walk.

After the park we headed to the Steakhouse and Lodge for dinner. It is always such yummy food.

Then we headed back to the cabin for a little play time before Liam headed to bed. I was pretty exhausted myself and so was Joe. We stayed up and chatted for a while before calling it a night.

The weather was quite chilly and cloudy in the morning so we decided to head home early. We packed up our things and headed out around 9:15am.

We decided to stop at Rusty’s for breakfast on our way home which was good because Liam was very hungry and ate so good.

We spent a little more time playing once we got home but Liam was really tired. We put him down for nap and he slept for 3.5 hours! Tired boy! I also napped as I was beginning to not feel the greatest. I woke up from nap super stuffy and sneezy. I felt miserable.

We decided to go for a walk since it was sunny out and that was nice. Then we played outside since Liam insisted “outside me!”

After a few hours of feeling terrible I bit the bullet and went to Walmart to get some Benadryl in the hopes that it would help. It did a little but I ended up heading to bed early.

Aside from getting sick it was a really nice weekend. Liam had so much fun and was able to do so much exploring.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoy the week ahead!

A wedding, graduation party, and Father’s Day 2017

We had a really busy but wonderful weekend! So many great things to celebrate!

I was able to sneak in a  much needed chiropractor appt and massage before getting ready to head to our friend’s wedding.

We dropped Liam off at my parent’s house for a sleepover and then headed to Stillwater with Joe’s parents for the wedding. Me and my forever wedding date were looking pretty good!

It was a short but sweet ceremony. The bride looked beautiful and both the bride and groom were glowing with happiness and love.

There were appetizers and drinks after. They were really good. Then it was dinner time. Joe and I both had really good meals. Super delicious! And after dinner were the desserts…so many options and so good!

Amanda and I took some fun pics during some of the in between time.

Then it was time to open up the dance floor. Brandon and Dana’s first dance was so touching and beautiful to watch. You could really see they love they share.

We stayed for a little bit of the dance but then we decided to head home. I was so tired and my legs were sore. I lounged on a couch at the venue for a little while and then we said our goodbyes.

We both got to sleep in a little bit since Liam was still at my parent’s house. Then it was off to sweat circuit for me. Always love getting my Saturday morning workout in!

After workout we rushed to pick up our little guy. Boy, do we miss him when he is gone! We decided to give Joe one of his father’s day gifts from Liam early. Needless to say he loved it and had to wear it right away. Liam was pretty proud (thanks daycare for making them!).

Then it was time for lunch and nap time. After nap we headed to a graduation party for Ryan. After Liam warmed up he had a fun time playing and running around.

We called my mom after the party because it was hot and sunny to see if could come swim. Liam was content just throwing toys in at first.

Once Joe got in the water Liam decided it was okay to join. He did really good!

Then there was some post swimming lounging to be done. Liam loves copying what his dad does.

Then it was time to head home for dinner, bath, “movie night,” and bedtime. Joe and I had a netflix and popcorn date after Liam was down and then headed to bed ourselves.

I woke up to quite the view in the morning 🙂

After waking up Sunday morning we gave Joe his Father’s Day gift and relaxed. We then met my parents out for breakfast.

Breakfast almost always means family nap….so of course we all took an afternoon nap.

We had a Father’s day celebration to attend at 3:30 at my aunt and uncle’s cabin. We met all our family out there and the kiddos had so much fun. Liam was running around and playing the whole time.

After that, we headed out to Joe’s friend Ben’s farm to see the cows and goats. Liam really enjoyed it from a distance.

We went home and put a very tired little boy to bed and then watched a little netflix before calling it a night.

Bonus: Liam didn’t have a single potty accident all day! Woooohooo!

We had such a wonderful weekend. I hope you were able to enjoy some of the weather and relax! Happy Monday!

Our weekend

We had a pretty good weekend. It was definitely nice to be home with family for most of it.

I lost one of my part time jobs on Thursday so I had Friday off. It was a pretty tough day but also really nice to be home with Liam. I decided since I was home that we would start potty training. Boys and their little underwear….so cute!

We spent most of the morning playing outside. We also ran a few errands.

After nap we headed to my parent’s house to swim. My brother Sean, Libby, and Judah met us over there as well. We had burgers for dinner and it was really a good time.

We came home and put Liam to bed. I was pretty exhausted after the stress of losing my job and dealing with those emotions so I headed to bed pretty early also.

It was a beautiful morning and supposed to be a really hot day. We got outside pretty early at the request of Liam. I then headed off to sweat circuit. Felt good to get that workout in!

When I got home Liam was a little cranky so we tried entertaining him for a while be he ended up having an early lunch and nap time.

After nap we headed to my friend Jenna’s housewarming/baby shower. It was nice to get out of the house and socialize.

My friend Laura was there with her girls. Liam kept copying what Aria was doing. So cute!

We got home around Liam’s bedtime and surprisingly he stayed awake the whole drive. We put him to bed and watched some Netflix to relax and unwind.

A big storm was rolling in but before it hit I wanted to pick some of our flowers and attempt a little bouquet to put on our table. I think it turned out pretty good.

We continued with the potty training. We decided no diapers for Liam all day except nap.

We were trapped inside with the storm so we played with play-doh and snuggled Marley.

Liam went down for nap and so did me and Joe. Something about dark, rainy weather that puts you right to sleep.

We were all feeling stir crazy in the afternoon so we decided to go to Sawmill Pizza to get some brick oven pizza. One of my favorite things to do in the summer and it was delicious.

Then it was home to play a little, do bath time, and then bed time.

Potty training for the day went really well. We put him on the potty a ton and we had no accidents all day until around bedtime. I’m really impressed with how well he is doing.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Have a wonderful week!

Mr. and Mrs. Boardman

What a day! I was the personal attendant in my friend Katrina’s wedding so the whole day was filled with tasks to be completed however it ended up being a beautiful day filled with love and celebrating!

My morning started around 5am. I decided I needed to be ready for the day so that if things came up that I needed to do, I could help. I packed a lunch for myself and a few of the bridesmaids who couldn’t eat the meal provided, as well as some snacks and drinks. I was able to get a few snuggles from Liam before heading out the door.

Then it was off to pick up two of the bridesmaids, go to Walmart to pick up a last minute vase, and then Caribou to get coffee for ourselves and the bride.

Finally we were off to the Dancing Dragonfly Winery where all the ladies got ready. When we arrived there was a lot to be done so I got to work helping with decorations and set up while the bridesmaids worked on hair and make up.

Then the groomsmen showed up. They needed their boutonnieres and some final touches.

After getting ready, it was time for the first look. My dad was the videographer for the wedding so I had to run out and help with the camera. The first look was adorable and Katrina looked stunning!

Then it was individual pictures and group pictures. The sun was shining and it was quite warm but the pictures looked like they will be amazing. I snuck a few pictures as well!

We took a picture of our own in the parking lot before leaving the winery.

After pictures we packed up and headed to the church. Lunch was served at the church and was much needed especially for the groomsmen. Everyone was able to sit and relax for a little bit while guests filed into the church. I quickly took a pic with all my besties to make sure I got them in and didn’t forget.

Then it was time for me to get to work again. I got everyone organized and lined up and ready to go down the aisle. First, the ushers escorted grandparents and parents and then the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and then Katrina and her parents. It went super smooth which was great and Katrina looked so great!

I was able to sit and relax during the ceremony which was so nice. It was a beautiful ceremony. Katrina and Seth decided to do a unity candle and a picture frame with a lock but no key to symbolize their love.

Seth kissed his bride and then it was on to celebrate. Everyone packed up their belongings, put them on the party bus, and we headed to Champ’s.

Before heading to Champ’s I spent some time with Joe and Liam since Liam came to the ceremony.

We also got to see DJ and Alena. We could not get the boys to smile but they sure are cute!

Then Joe took Liam to pick up the babysitter and go home and I went to Champ’s. It was nice to just kick back and relax for a while. I got a big glass of water and sat down. After Champ’s we hopped on the bus and headed to the winery for the reception. Breanna and I are both pregnant so we got some non-alcoholic wine for the bus so we could celebrate too. It was actually pretty good!

Once we got to the winery we took some final pictures and then it was time for the grand entrance. I let the DJ know the wedding party was ready and they all came in with their fun, planned dance moves.

Katrina’s aunt did the prayer and then it was buffet style dinner. There were several options and I chose the chicken and pasta. I was really hungry so I ate a lot and was really full after.

During dinner Katrina’s dad gave a speech and then shortly after the 2 matron’s of honor and the best man gave their speeches.

Katrina and Seth’s cake was so pretty. And the cake table was decorated so nice.

The bride and groom did the cake cutting and were pretty nice to one another. It was cute and the cake looked tasty!

It ended up being a really beautiful and sunny evening so a lot of people went outside after dinner and had drinks and conversation. I finally felt off duty once we were at the winery so I was able to just enjoy the company and relax.

The guys kicked back and relaxed too! haha!

Later in the evening they did the first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance. Then it was time for the dance to start and people were ready for it! The dance floor filled up.

We stayed until about 11pm when I finally had to call it a night. My whole body was tired and sore and I was ready for bed. Such a busy but fun day!

Congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Boardman! We are so happy to have been able to celebrate with you and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

Weekend of Celebrations!

We had a very busy weekend!

I worked at home because I had a wedding rehearsal and a grooms dinner to attend. This was the beginning of a very busy but fun weekend. We rehearsed for the wedding at the church and then headed to Gibby’s for pizza and drinks.

After dinner I had to go to Walmart to make some final purchases for the wedding day and then home to bed to try to get some rest.

One of my best friends, Katrina, is getting married to her love Seth! I was the personal attendant in the wedding so I was busy ALL DAY LONG! I will make a separate post with more details on the wedding.

I had several plans for Sunday but ended up cancelling a few because of how exhausted and sore my body was. We got home late on Saturday night and Liam was up by 6am. I decided it would be better for me to stay home and take a nap when Liam naps.

We spent some of the morning outside at Liam’s request. It was beautiful out and he was adorable playing in his pajama shirt and rain boots. He is so funny.

Joe wanted to go out for breakfast so we did that. My brother Sean joined us. Then it was home for a family nap. We were all very tired. I don’t think I moved until I heard Liam wake up.

After nap we spent more time outside playing and then headed to my niece’s 12th birthday party.  It was nice to relax with family and get some more outside time.

Then we headed home, put Liam to bed, I showered, we watched an episode of Parks and Recreation, and then I was ready for bed.

Although the weekend was exhausting it was also a lot of fun. Happy Monday and enjoy your week!
